Structural geometry and evolution of the Rukwa Rift Basin, Tanzania: Implications for helium potential

چکیده
The Rukwa Rift Basin, Tanzania is regarded as a modern example of cratonic rift zone despite complex polyphase extensional and episodic inversion structures. We interpret 2D seismic reflection data tied to wells identify describe structures controlling stratigraphic sequences (Late Carboniferous Pleistocene) in two main segmented domains, A B, which are controlled by the Chisi Saza shear zones. Fault geometry stratal patterns illustrated relation their kinematic interaction with folds. Fold reflect both compressional deformation were mapped particular interest for helium potential. illustrate fault bend folds, propagation folds monoclines that related extension events. Folds compression exhibit various structural styles reflecting at least phases widespread inversion. First, Early Jurassic phase involved multi-faulted anticlines Karoo strata. Second, mild during Pleistocene characterised symmetrical asymmetrical styles. Based on molecular dating, the origin of insect agriculture is hypothesized to have taken place independently in three clades of fungus-farming insects: the termites, ants or ambrosia beetles during the Paleogene (66-24 Ma). Yet, definitive fossil evidence of fungus-growing behavior has been elusive, with no unequivocal records prior to the late Miocene (7-10 Ma). Here we report fossil evidence...

A study was conducted to investigate honeybee colonies absconding from beehives and its financial implication among beekeepers in Tabora and Katavi regions, Western Tanzania. Four districts were selected on the basis of adoption of improved beehives. A total of 198 beekeepers were randomly selected for interviews. Data collected from beekeepers using a questionnaire were supplemented with data ...
متن کاملI-16: The Evolution of Morality and Implications for Animal Usage
The propensity to show moral behaviour has evolved in all animals living in complex societies as it promotes social stability. All major religions provide a structure for a moral code. The code is valuable in the societies where the religions have influence. The most important aspects of morality are the same in all countries. Because of their moral code, people consider that they have obligati...
